Starting salary: $64,919 (work experience and meeting the desired qualifications listed may be considered in setting a salary above the minimum)
Pay Grade: A5
Design, configure and maintain a campus network which may include workstations, servers, applications, audio-visual equipment, copiers, fax machines, printers and/or phones.Essential Functions:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the network. This may include providing specialized analysis, evaluation, security services, troubleshooting and technical maintenance, and serving as a liaison between the information solutions department and the campus.
Provide work direction to regular and temporary employees that support the network. Assess staffing and training needs for network support personnel.
Implement the technology plan and budget, as well as work with the provost to develop the annual equipment budget.
Assess needs and provide technology training for campus faculty and staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer related field and two years of experience in installation, configuration, and administration of the latest Microsoft technologies or Associate’s degree in computer related field and a total of four years of work experience.
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical material in a clear and concise manner.
Knowledge of communication methods and software applications on LANs and WAN.
Working knowledge of network applications such as DNS, DHCP and WINS.
Demonstrated ability to function autonomously with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to plan, organize and manage time.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from diverse backgrounds.Desired Qualifications:
