Honors Academic Advisor/Instructor

The University of South Dakota seeks a Honors Academic Advisor/Instructor for the University Honors Program, one of USD’s Signature Programs. 

The Advisor will work with a caseload of Honors students on such issues as progress towards graduation, career goals, professional development, and campus and community involvement. The advisor will also teach courses each semester in Honors English or advanced composition and one section of the Honors first-year experience course annually. Other duties include coordinating the thesis preparation course, conducting outreach to prospective students, and coordinating advising for the Honors Program.

A Master’s degree in English, rhetoric and composition, or related field, and teaching experience in composition and literature, are required; significant undergraduate advising experience is preferred.
