The Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures at UCLA is seeking a part-time Lecturer to teach one course in Ottoman Turkish during the Winter 2021 academic quarter, which begins January 1, 2021. The candidate must have experience teaching Turkish language at a university level. The candidate should also have experience reading, transliterating, and translating Ottoman texts from the 19th and 20th centuries. A Ph.D. in Near Eastern Languages or related field is required.
