TemporaryEssential Job Duties:
Performing research (primarily molecular biology and cloning of plasmids for protein expression and making yeast strains), support tasks in the laboratory, including cleaning and sterilization of equipment, making solutions, media, and plates, autoclaving media, maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, record keeping, disposal of lab materials with biological contamination.
Monday – Friday. Working a full time schedule of 40 hours per week is preferred, but candidates who are only available part time will be considered.Is Time Limited:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a biosciences related fieldDepartment Required Skills:
Extensive experience with molecular biology, microbiology, bacterial cell culture, cloning via restriction digest and Gibson assembly.
Should have skills in: DNA purification, DNA sequencing, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and gel electrophoresis.
Experience making and sterilizing (via autoclave) chemical buffer solutions, media, and pouring plates. Knowledge of maintaining inventory and chemical safety.Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a biosciences related field, plus 2-3 years experience directly related to the assigned duties.
Experience with mammalian and/or yeast cell culture is a plus.Required License or Certification:
