Essential Job Duties:

This position aims to assist in the conduction of a grant funded by the Society for Risk Analysis (SRA) to grow and promote the field of risk science in the Research Triangle Park (RTP) area of North Carolina. Project goals will be accomplished through conducting a series of strategic activities that leverage existing risk-based, multi-stakeholder collaborations in the RTP area along with the team’s professional networks and connections with international scholars in risk science. Highly motivated candidates who can work both independently and with diverse research teams are sought to assist in the conduction of grant activities related to enhancing and strengthening the field of risk science. Day-to-day duties of the position include: 1) assisting with the development and conduction of efforts to grow the regional organization of SRA, 2) assisting with communication efforts with local members of SRA, 3) assisting with development of upcoming virtual events and meeting with local SRA members, and 4) engaging and communicating with new members in
the RTP area.

-B.S. in natural sciences, social sciences, communications, and/or risk sciences with interest in communicating and engaging diverse stakeholder groups.

-Possess demonstrated experience in diverse fields of risk science and have worked across interdisciplinary teams
