Essential Job Duties:The Institute was founded in 1966 by a small group of scientists who had a vision-to conduct research that would make a difference in children’s lives, support families, and inform public policy. For 50 years, the Institute’s research, evaluation, technical assistance, outreach, and service have shaped how the nation cares for and educates young children.
We are seeking a skilled SAS programmer to manage data from multiple large and complex datasets. The data manager should have primary expertise in SAS, with preference for additional experience in STATA, MPlus, Python, or R. They will report to the Director of the Data Management and Analysis Core (DMAC) and support statistical analyses for a small portfolio of projects, including assembling and harmonizing datasets for longitudinal analyses under the supervision of the lead DMAC statistician. As a data manager, she/he/they will be responsible for consulting with all project staff, discussing timelines, deliverables, workload, and facilitating clear communication between investigators and DMAC colleagues.

Minimum Experience/Education:Master’s degree (or higher) in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Data Science, or related discipline.
Department Required Skills:Candidate must have experience managing data and presenting descriptive statistics in longitudinal research or evaluation projects and possess demonstrated competency as a SAS programmer. They must have demonstrated ability in communication, coordinating work across multiple projects, and working as a collaborator with researchers (especially psychologists and educational researchers).
