Position Summary:

Within the People Services Human Resources Department, the incumbent will be part of an enterprise wide onboarding process that support Campus, Medical Center and Health Sciences employment process. It is a fast-paced environment with the ability to interact directly with recruiters, applicants, new hires and department hiring mangers across the enterprise. Schedules onboarding, background checks, verification of licenses, and health clearances for new hires. Provides first level job posting to ensure that the applicant experience is positive. As a member of the onboarding team strive to provide an excellent candidate experience.

Uses professional employment and staffing techniques and concepts for employment, sourcing programs, and policies for the organization. Employment and search efforts tend to be more limited in scope and complexity. Follows standard staffing practices and procedures in identifying and presenting qualified candidates. Primarily works on staffing / employment for the more entry-level positions but may conduct some professional employment at this level. Normally receives detailed instructions on staffing assignments. May work with internal and external contacts.

Compensation Range:

$20.02 - $30.51

Experience working in a fast-paced employment related setting.

BA or equivalent years of experience.

Acquiring knowledge of organizational policies and procedures and knowledge of functional area. Acquiring knowledge of onboarding processes to include I9, background check, pre-employment requirement as well as human resources and organization procedures, processes and forms. Acquiring knowledge of HR processes and forms and knows organizational and departmental principles and procedures. Utilization of I9 Tracker, DocuSign and Case Management systems such as ServiceNow. Ability to utilize organization-specific computer application programs. Acquiring knowledge of employment law including but not limited to UC Policies and UC Irvine Procedures Effective communication and interpersonal skills as well as active listening and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated organizational skills and problem-solving skills.

Special Conditions Required:

Travel may be required between our two locations in Irvine and Orange.
