Job Summary
Serve as the primary contact providing comprehensive guidance regarding the application process and eligibility for student financial aid. Evaluate and process applications and conduct outreach efforts regarding financial aid availability. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: financial aid staff, students, prospective students, parents and representatives of external agencies. This position typically will advise and counsel: students, prospective students and parents. This position will supervise: NA.
ResponsibilitiesJob Duty 1 -
Serve as the primary contact regarding the application process and eligibility.
Job Duty 2 -
Evaluate need and eligibility for financial aid and scholarship programs.
Job Duty 3 -
Conduct verification of applicant data.
Job Duty 4 -
Prepare awards and certify loans.
Job Duty 5 -
Perform outreach activities through participation in information sessions regarding various programs available.
Job Duty 6 -
Review and process appeals.
Job Duty 7 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Two to three years of job related experience
SKILLS
This job requires comprehensive knowledge of the application and award process for student financial aid. Skills in interpersonal communications, customer service, detail orientation and multi-tasking are required as are required as are use of office related and specialized computer applications and databases.
Experience with Banner or any other Student Information Systems is preferred.
