Position Description:

The Advancement Services Coordinator, Major Giving will oversee and manage several key areas in the UNC School of Law Advancement Office. This position will be primarily responsible for major giving activities: prospect management support, fundraising administrative support, annual stewardship, donor/volunteer communication support, gift processing, board/committee support and data management. This position will also serve as a liaison with the University Development Office regarding gift processing of major and planned gifts and prospect management data preparation and reporting.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Excellent advanced knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel. Willingness to learn new software applications programs as required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to manage multiple, ongoing projects. Position requires accuracy, attention to detail and editing skills. The person in this position must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment and in a professional manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer a candidate with prior administrative experience in fundraising in a higher education or non-profit setting. UNC DAVIE constituent database experience a plus, familiarity with UNC preferred.
