Description of Work:

The position is needed to support a very active and prominent research laboratory at UNC Lineberger.

Grant related duties include but are not limited to budget preparation, justifications and finalization, collection and formatting of bio sketches, letters of reference, completion of subcontract packages routed and signed by UNC, Endnote input, formatting of text, and timely submission to the agencies, usually NIH. When Just In Time info is requested, that material is gathered and verified, i.e., Other Support documents from all key personnel and IACUC approvals. Respond via our Sponsored Programs/Research office any questions or information required by the agency, most often NIH.

Financial management duties include but are not limited to preparing/evaluating budgets and outlining expenditures each month to include individual supply orders, as well as common supplies and check requests.

General administrative duties include but are not limited to , maintaining/updating references in Endnote library, Formatting bio sketches as needed, ensuring formatting is compliant with current SOM/UNC and NIH standardized formats, maintaining/coordinating scheduling of Google calendar(s) and editing/proofing all written communication from lab personnel.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree inbusiness administration, public administration, or related business area; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
