Responsible for managing the processing and evaluation of freshman, transfer, readmission, non-degree seeking, and transient student applications. Ensures that the admission processing functions are in compliance with established University and Board of Governors procedures and policies. Interprets State rules and regulations to determine initial residency classification. Troubleshoots online fee payment and application problems. Determines the appropriate course of action in unusual or extenuating circumstances relating to the processing of applications. Interprets audit reports and manages the auditing of all application types for the different matriculation levels at the beginning of each term. Manages the processing of test scores received electronically and via paper (SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS etc). Responsible for managing duplicate records for test scores received electronically ("dupe reports"). Trains and assists in the supervision of employees, to include those not directly reporting to this position.
Counsels applicants, parents, high school/college counselors, department representatives, & other University personnel(via phone, in person, or e-mail) regarding the processing of admission, applications, providing expertise and advice regarding the application process. Provides support, information, and guidance to the Assistant Director for Processing by participating in discussions and testing with Information Technology Services regarding changes to the student information system, the functionality of admissions applications, and the Online Status Check tool. Monitors and assesses processes continually; reviews and evaluates policies procedures pertaining to the Processing Section. Recommends changes to improve efficiency and compliance, and shares responsibility for the implementation of changed procedures. Participates in special events hosted by the department and assists other sections during peak times in support of the goals of the Office of Enrollment Management.Qualifications A Bachelor's degree and one year of experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of experience.

Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or comparable software.
The ability to prioritize and organize multiple work assignments simultaneously.Preferred Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of experience relevant and related to the responsibilities of the job are preferred. We seek energetic candidates who are detail-oriented, organized and can work well independently as well as in a team. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to multi-task, and should have a strong sense of initiative with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently. Experience interpreting and applying policies and procedures. Preferred candidates will be familiar with university admissions application processes, and should be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
