Position Summary:

The Program and Fiscal Manager is responsible for providing a first-class guest experience for all visitors, either personally or through front-line student staff and must be flexible and adaptive in responding to changing needs and demands. This position has core responsibilities that include, but are not limited to,
•Provides program and fiscal management, administrative, and data support to the Associate Vice President for Career Development, as well as other members of the staff.
•Hires, trains and manages a robust student staff.
•Manages multiple budget indexes working within State appointed platforms and regulations.
•Runs multiple reports for internal and external use.
•Manages aspects of employer engagement and programming to include event logistics, event-day coordination, scheduling and payments.
•Supervises and manages the work of student assistants.

Required Qualifications:

•Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Several years of professional experience with program management, office administration, report management, and budget/finance in an office environment and/or higher education environment;
•General knowledge of the services, programs and resources of a full-service career center;
•Demonstrated strong analytical and financial management skills to include experience with computer skills, database reporting/management, exceptional guest/customer service orientation.
•Demonstrates strong communication skills (written and verbal) and an ability to handling confidential documents with and sound judgment;
•Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented office;
•Experience in managing multiple tasks simultaneously, providing an appropriate attention to detail; and
•Proven ability to function fully as a team member in a cooperative and supportive manner with solid interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree
•Significant experience in higher education and or career services (typically more than five years)
•Experience working with undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, parents and alumni;
•Familiarity with career development programs and services.
•Experience handling multiple tasks in an organized way within a fast-paced office environment with frequent interruptions.
•Demonstrated ability to independently and as part of a team.

This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.
