Welcome Center Coordinator
The Office of Admissions and Merit Awards at Coastal Carolina University seeks a dynamic individual to fill the Welcome Center Coordinator (Program Assistant) position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: maintain the daily operation of the University Welcome Center; provide timely and accurate information in-person, via electronic communication, and on the phone to prospective students, parents, visitors, and other campus visitors; oversee the processing of all campus visit reservations and confirmations within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for daily campus tours and recruitment and enrollment events. Desirable candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and relevant program experience is required. A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required program experience. Prior experience in university welcome center or visitor relations program at a college or university is preferred. Preferred experience working with a CRM system, specifically with campus events is preferred. General knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel is required. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Evening and weekend work is a requirement of the position.

Must be able to deal with confidential information in a professional manner. Ability to perform detailed work and handle students’ confidential matters. Must be a team player and able to multi-task. Must be able to deal effectively with the public in handling inquires and communicating information. Must exhibit good counseling techniques when presenting information about policies and procedures. Sensitivity to the needs of all prospective students and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and counselors.Additional comments regarding this position:
