Job Description Summary
The COVID Processing Unit (CPU) Manager is responsible for cost analyses, budgets and reports for the CPU service center. They will be tracking usage, billing, invoicing and ensuring that correct fees are charged each year so that the Covid Processing Unit (CPU) service center breaks even (no carry forward surplus or deficit exceeding 3%). This position will oversee ordering of supplies, maintaining service center equipment, assist with feeder validations for service center recovery, monitor collections for external invoices and performs other basic functions of the center.

This position is also responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the sample team, which consists of 2-4 technicians. These technicians are responsible for sample processing pipeline design, sample processing, and sample storage for clinical samples including, but not limited to, blood and tissue from SARS-CoV-2 infected patients. The candidate needs excellent written and interpersonal skills as they will be communicating with multiple departments across PSOM and CHOP. They will also maintain all sample records with good documentation practices.

The candidate will lead efforts to assure compliance with applicable regulations and industry accepted standards that govern Good Clinical Laboratory Practices (GCLP). The candidate will also be responsible for monitoring quality standards, identifying and resolving problems, and responding to and acting on findings from both internal and external audits. The candidate will maintain quality control objectives and coordinate work towards these objectives with CPU technical staff. The candidate is responsible for assisting in the preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and managing QC documentation.

Qualifications
Master's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
