Position Information and Requirements:
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Nursing Program Manager the successful candidate will perform the following operations: Provide instructional services in clinical areas including hospitals and long-term care facilities within a 75 to 100-mile radius of Nelsonville, OH; Engage in continuous professional development in both teaching and discipline; Maintain a safe working area and conditions.

- PROVIDES INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES: Provides clinical instruction to students in approved health care settings, adhering to the policies of the clinical setting and the College; Uses appropriate learner-centered instructional methods in the clinical area; provide evaluation methods appropriate to stated outcomes and as designed by the Nursing Program; evaluate student learning in a fair manner; maintain accurate records of evaluation and course work including attendance; Maintains clinical standards and course expectations throughout each course or term; Coordinates with clinicians at the clinical site to assign students to patients; Notifies Clinical Manager of any safety concerns regarding student performance or other areas of concern regarding professional conduct; submits grades as required and on time; regularly seeks feedback on course delivery and student learning.
- ENGAGES IN CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN BOTH TEACHING AND DISCIPLINE-SPECIFIC THEORY AND PRACTICE: identifies own professional development needs consistent with the mission of the College, Academic Affairs, and department; maintains or attains appropriate certification, licensure, or credentialing; seeks appropriate resources to meet goals for continuous improvement; participates in department, Academic Affairs, and College faculty / staff development programs.
- PARTICIPATES IN ACADEMIC AFFAIRS AND INSTITUTIONAL ACTIVITIES: Follows Hocking College policies and procedures; promotes a positive working relationship across technology, department, and community lines.
- Maintains a safe working area and conditions at all times.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- A minimum of two years of full-time experience as a registered nurse
- Current, active, unencumbered licensure in the State of Ohio or licensure in a compact state with the ability to become licensed in Ohio.
