Customer Service RepJob Description:
Receive and process orders daily using multiple mediums including fax, email, phone and website for multiple customer types including individuals, bookstores, retail and wholesale vendors.
Process Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) orders daily for large customers including Amazon, Baker & Taylor, Ingram and Barnes & Noble.
Responds to customer questions and/or needs and works to resolve customer complaints.
Calculates order totals for customers and collect payment by phone for pre-pay customers.
Pull and pack customer orders daily to ensure timely shipping.
Process shipping labels through UPS, FedEx and USPS.
Prepare all Print on Demand customer orders and order daily through various print on demand vendors.
Maintain print on demand shipping records to ensure timely and accurate shipping of customer orders.
Communicate with media contacts and authors via email and phone, representing the press in a positive and professional manner
Process media requests for review copies and other materials, including book excerpts and images
Assist with processing reviews of UPF books for inclusion in digital and print promotional materials
Create discount codes for direct-to-individual promotions in connection with author events, email announcements, seasonal sales, and exhibits
Report regularly on performance of direct-to-individual discount codes
Assist with the creation of promotional materials related to UPF’s exhibits program
Enter monthly sales reports from various print on demand facilities and consignment customers.
Check office and shipping supplies weekly to ensure supplies are ordered when stock is low.
Check quick pull inventory weekly and restock accordingly from warehouse.
Participate in the yearly inventory count
Other duties as assigned by the supervisorExpected Salary:
High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience.Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Cat’s Pajamas Publisher Program is helpful.
- The incumbent should be computer literate, with a strong working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (especially MS Word and Excel).
- Basic math skills and strong language and communication skills.
