OPS Billing and Coding

35% - Create and enter patient and institution demographics into Epic for UF Health Pathology Laboratories billing.

35% - Key patient and institution charges into Epic for UF Health Pathology Laboratories billing.

15% - Identify and work fatal edits using appropriate source documents and diagnosis codes.

5% - Communicate effectively with physicians, co-workers, and departments for compliance and billing information.

5% - Attend in-service education and billing meetings, as required by Billing manager.

5% - Other duties as assigned.

$15.00 - $16.00

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least two years billing and follow-up experience in federal and managed care.
Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding guidelines as well as basic medical terminology.
Ability to work independently to research information.
Ability to use Epic and Laboratory systems.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees, co-workers, administration, physicians, and patients.
