Minimum Qualifications:

Requires are least a high school diploma or equivalent. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Position Summary:

Supervise work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive exam rooms, waiting rooms office and common areas. Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and take corrective action.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

Thorough knowledge of all materials and equipment used in a building cleaning operation. Plan, assign, supervise and inspect the work of a group of building services workers engaged in cleaning and sanitizing a health care facility. Work from oral and written instructions and to make immediate changes in the work program to meet modification of service requirements. Meet and work tactfully and effectively with employees, students, and department heads and clinicians.

Physical Demands:

Physical dexterity to perform wet mopping, dust mopping, cleaning, vacuuming, and burnishing.
Burnish floors up to 6 hours per day using industrial custodial floor care equipment.
Work from a 3- or 6-foot stepladder.
Stand or walk, turn, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch and bend.
Operate custodial floor equipment such as burnishers, carpet extractors, and other floor equipment for extended periods.
Push or pull wet mops and dust mops and vacuum.
Lift and carry cleaning supplies, custodial equipment, trash and linen.
Work on knees to reach low cleaning areas for extended periods of time.
Lifting of unbalanced objects and loads or up to 50 pounds regularly throughout an 8-hour shift

Ensures that the quality of custodial services meets established guidelines by inspecting the work of custodial personnel.

Ensures that custodial personnel have the equipment and supplies necessary to perform custodial services by issuing supplies as needed, completing request form(s) for replacement items, and storing the supplies and equipment in a secure storage area. Manage employee time and leave through OneSource.
