The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience has approximately 40 tenure track faculty and 10 instructors. It offers separate bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Neuroscience to 2,600+ majors. The Neuroscience degree is biology-based and currently has 600 majors. The department also offers doctoral graduate programs in 5 specialty areas (Behavioral Neuroscience; Behavioral, Psychiatric, and Statistical Genetics; Clinical Psychology; Cognitive Psychology; and Social Psychology).What Your Key Responsibilities Will BeTeaching 4 courses (or their equivalent) each semester, departmental service, and active engagement in pedagogical initiatives within the department and across campus (e.g., https://www.colorado.edu/program/learningassistant/). The successful candidate will be prepared to teach a variety of neuroscience courses.
Department priorities include the teaching of Introductory Neuroscience and several upper-division courses to our Neuroscience Majors, such as Systems Neuroscience, Behavioral Neuroendocrinology, and Neurobiology of Learning and Memory.
