Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

Duties the Technical Aide will perform include anaerobic cultivation of Bacteroides fragilis, and selection for B. fragilis strains that contain transposon insertions. The candidate will also carry out general lab tasks including washing glassware and racking tubes.

Desired Qualifications

Must have completed college-level coursework in molecular/cellular biology, genetics, and biochemistry.
