Position Summary

The MSU COVID19 Early Detection Program is seeking enthusiastic Laboratory Aides to support the work of the testing lab. The primary duties involve assembly of saliva collection kits. Additionally, Laboratory Aides will wash dishes, prepare cleaning solutions for the testing workstations and take kits and samples to and from the loading dock. Samples are scanned into a tracking system and prepared for testing.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge normally acquired from specialized training such as that acquired in one year of college, technical, vocational or trade school with coursework in basic Chemistry or Biology; up to six months of experience in a laboratory setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in science.
