Position Description:
The UCLA Center for Critical Internet Inquiry (C2i2) is an interdisciplinary research center committed to holding those who create unjust technologies and systems accountable for the erosion of equity, trust, and participation ? in order to reimagine technology, champion racial justice, and strengthen democracy. Co-Founded by Dr. Safiya Umoja Noble and Dr. Sarah T. Roberts, the UCLA Center for Critical Internet Inquiry is committed to community impact through research, culture making, and public policy.

The Racial Justice Research & Program Manager is responsible for the development, creation and management of research projects and programming related to racial justice, inclusion and equity as they relate to C2i2's core mission. The Research & Program Manager is responsible for creating and manage a Research and Programming portfolio; designing and implementing new and innovative programs; identifying and developing research agendas; and serving as a lead in data collection as well as data and policy analysis.

The Research & Program Manger will work on research that has a community impact and, as such, must translate across traditional disciplinary and institutional boundaries. The incumbent will serve as a liaison between faculty, staff, students, educators, policy members and various community organizations and thus will need to prioritizes working in partnership with individuals at all levels.

In the 2007 edition of U.S. News and World Report, UCLA Medical Center was ranked best in the West, as well as one of the top 3 hospitals in the United States alongside Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 15 of the 16 medical specialty areas examined, UCLA Medical Center ranked in the top 20.
