Advertised Job Summary:

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (COMD) in the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina invites applications for a 9-month open-rank tenure-track faculty position beginning August 16, 2021.

Required Education and Experience:

All applicants must have a PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field by the beginning date of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

All applicants must have a PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related fields by the beginning date of employment. Applicants at the Associate and Full Professor rank must also have appropriate years of relevant experience beyond the PhD consistent with University policy. Responsibilities include teaching, conducting research in area of expertise, and service. Research areas of interest include autism and neurodevelopmental disorders, literacy, or neurogenic disorders, but all areas will be considered for highly qualified applicants. Preference will be given to applicants with a strong record or promise of extramural funding and research excellence. The Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CCC-SLP) is preferred but not required.
