Sitting at computer workstation for extended periods.
Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling, moving items up to 50 lbs.

Shift:

Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and some evening and weekend hours as needed.

Job Summary:

Working within a dedicated communications work unit to further UK College of Medicine’s presence within the region and to encourage employee engagement, alumni relations, and public awareness of the college’s initiatives.

This communicator will support both internal and external communications particularly through social media channels, internal newsletters, digital signage, etc., for the college.

In accomplishing these assignments, this communication professional will be responsible for coordinating with the regional campus teams and local team in Lexington to ensure all audiences are up-to-date on college happenings.

The position will fill many functions within a small team.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

All MS Office programs, understanding and working knowledge of html programs.

Preferred Education/Experience:

Degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field preferred.
Four or more years of related experience preferred.
