Required License/Registration/Certification:

HDI Support Center Team Lead Certification. Certifications are required within one year of hire date.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time, and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

Shift:

This is a full-time, exempt position with an assigned schedule however our Service Desk is a 24/7 operation and shifts may change depending on departmental needs.

Job Summary:

UK HealthCare Information Technology Services has posted the Service Desk Engineer II role.

This role will be held accountable for establishing strong credibility & collaboration with our physicians, customers, department leadership, affiliated organizations, and all I.T. staff members.

This is a highly matrixed organization which requires excellent interpersonal skills, persuasion and influencing skills, ability to work on large multi-disciplinary teams with significant amount of varied work assignments.

The successful Service Desk Engineer II is responsible to provide processes which utilize the capabilities provided by new information technology and provide optimal benefit to the organization in terms of increased efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of the UKHC IT process.

HDI Support Center Team Lead certifications are required within one year of hire date.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of clinical operations and processes, excellent leadership and teaching abilities.

In addition the candidate will possess the ability to build strong relationships across a broad range of personality types.

Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years related experience.
