Bachelor’s degree and Athletic Training experience.Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education::
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University in athletic training. BOC Certification. Candidate must be organized and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. The State of North Carolina requires licensure of its Certified Athletic Trainers.Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide athletic training for NCAA Division I sports.
2.Provide daily injury reports to coaches and weekly injury reports to Director of Athletic Training and Team Physician.
3.Set up each new athletic team members with pre-participation physicals, EKG and sickle cell testing.
4.Enter all pertinent health information into Sportsware online.
5.Have each member complete IMPACT concussion baseline test prior to participation in athletics.
6.Assist full time athletic trainers with day to day operation of the assigned athletic training room.
7.Provide Accredited Clinical instruction to student athletic trainers
8.Remain up to date with policies and procedures manual, First Aid and CPR.
9.Acquire and maintain van certification.
Other duties assigned by the Director of Athletic Training.Necessary Licenses or Certifications:
North Carolina licensure dues and NATA dues are paid by the University. Position is renewable at the discretion of the Director of Athletic Training. All Interns must be certified by the NATABOC and licensed by the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners to practice in the state of North Carolina.Proposed Hire Date:
