Chief of Staff, University Operations

Position Summary:

To serve the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and University Operations, expediting successful implementation of initiatives, and enhancing the efficiency of our collective efforts as a team. Under limited supervision, the position is responsible for day to day operations of the office, and requires resourcefulness, excellent prioritization skills, a strong service orientation, and the ability to successfully interact with all levels of the university community and departments across the institution.

The incumbent will direct and execute special projects on behalf of the COO and works in close collaboration with the COO in the execution of new programs and initiatives. This position also facilitates communication among the COO’s senior staff and direct reports, with the Office of the President, and across the university. This position represents the interests and priorities of the COO and University Operations through effective communication, coordination, and integration of priorities and objectives.

Required Qualifications:

•Undergraduate degree
•Experience working directly with senior-level leadership roles and executing directives
•Experience with project management
•Demonstrates exceptional and professional communication skills, both written and oral
•Demonstrates an ability to independently manage a frequently changing workload while establishing and meeting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

•Advanced degree
•Experience in higher education administration, its structure and policies and practices
