    OFFICE PROFILE:

    The Graduate and Adult Admissions Office is responsible for the ongoing program of student recruitment and admissions of adult and graduate students.

    ROLE:

    The Townsend Institute Recruiter/Admissions Counselor is responsible for helping with the recruitment and admissions for all Townsend Institute Masters, Certificate, Bachelors, and PhD Programs. The Recruiter/Counselor will be responsible for cultivating and managing inquires through various recruiting tactics and converting inquiries to submitted applications to yield targeted enrollment goals for the Townsend Institute programs. All activities of this positions are to make a contribution to the fulfillment of the mission of the University.

    APPOINTMENT:

    • Recommended by the Director of Graduate and Adult Admissions in collaboration with the Dean of the Townsend Institute. .
    • Approved by the Associate Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing

    STAFF RELATIONSHIPS:

    • Report to the Director of Graduate and Adult Admissions
    • Collaborate with the Townsend Institute Executive Director, Program Director, Deans and Faculty as needed.
    • Collaborate with Marketing, Registrar, Financial Aid and other related departments where necessary.
    • Interact and function cooperatively with other campus personnel.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING.

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to accomplish each of the below duties satisfactorily:

    1. Find, attract and recruit new students to the Townsend Institute graduate, certificate, bachelors and PhD programs.
    2. Meet targeted program inquiry, application, and enrollment goals for each start term.
    3. Travel to recruiting events, in conjunction with the Townsend Institute to generate new inquiries. And partnerships in order to generate enrollment growth. Traveling some evenings and weekends will be required.
    4. Work alongside other admissions personnel, staff, and faculty to help reach programs goals.
    5. Using various admissions tactics, convert Inquiries to submitted applications.
    6. Support the development of the external recruiting plan for the Townsend Institute programs including, conference registration, logistics, and tracking event effectiveness and ROI.
    7. In conjunction with other admissions personnel, staff, and faculty, this position will assist in the planning and delivery of Information Sessions.
    8. Create and update student information utilizing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program.
    9. Log and maintain all communication with prospective students and higher education partners.
    10. Present Townsend Institute program and admissions information to prospective students at information sessions and conferences throughout the country.
    11. Develop and maintain relationship with target markets.
    12. Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    None at this time.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.

    Master's Degree preferred, but not required.

    Experience working an admissions environment at the collegiate level. (3+ years)
