Program Coordinator for Intercultural and Inclusion Student Services
Coastal Carolina University is seeking candidates for Program Coordinator for Intercultural and Inclusion Student Services (Program Coordinator I) at Coastal Carolina University. The Program Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Intercultural and Inclusion Student Services. The Program Coordinator will work in an office setting as well as various environments across campus. Must be available to work evenings and weekends during peak times of the year.
Duties include, but are not limited to: development and execution of programs and activities that support the goals and objectives of the office (Cultural Celebration, Cultural Heritage Months, Chants Chats, and other large- and small-scale programs), work with students, faculty, staff, and administrators, organizing and managing budgets, consult with vendors and office initiatives to ensure programmatic success, cooperate with Intercultural and Inclusion Student Services colleagues in formal and informal problem solving, maintaining and upholding the Intercultural and Inclusion Student Services mission and vision, engage with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion division colleagues in meetings, events, and programs; interact with families of students seeking information, guidance, or understanding of CCU, DEI, or IISS and educate students, faculty, staff, and student families about IISS programs, initiatives, and events.
Reporting to the IISS Director, the Program Coordinator will be expected to: hold a bachelor’s degree with experience in intercultural programming or a related field with an understanding and value of intersecting identities; support the mission and vision of the department and the division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; work closely with IISS colleagues and campus partners; and support access and inclusion for students, colleagues, and campus visitors.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and related experience are required. A master’s degree and at least two (2) years of relevant experience in intercultural programs and services in an educational setting and direct experience with programming in a university setting, along with demonstrated knowledge of universal design and a social justice framework are also preferred.
