General Summary

This position manages the financial aspects related to the School of Teaching and Learning, ensuring a balanced budget as well as providing reports and recommendations as needed. Primary responsibilities include maintaining the departmental budgets, including Personnel, Operating, Grants, Agency, and Foundations accounts. This position is also responsible for administering department hiring processes, including confidential files and paperwork.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's or equivalent degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, or a field closely related to the position.

2. Two years of professional level accounting, managerial, and/or business experience, including one year at an administrative level.

3. Two years of work experience preparing regular budget reports and monitoring expenditures.

4. Two years of work experience reconciling multiple and detailed budgets and projections.

5. Demonstrated advanced Excel proficiency, experience with other Microsoft Office applications, and knowledge of automated data processing systems, including accounting software applications.

6. Demonstrated ability to prepare complete and accurate accounting reports.

7. Strong organization and communication (i.e., written and verbal) skills.

8. Strong proofreading skills.

1. Strong technology skills.

2. Knowledge about teacher education.

Work Hours

Core Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday.

Mandatory Physical Requirements

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

3. Ability to use a computer in day-to-day work (i.e. use a keyboard and mouse).
