DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MEDICINE

The University of California, Irvine (UCI) Department of Emergency Medicine is now accepting applications from skilled physician educators who are passionate about advancing clinical care, education and research within a fast-pace, high-volume, clinical/academic setting. Positions are available in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series, at the Assistant rank.

DUTIES
The incumbent will be expected to teach fellows, residents, medical students and other academic learners, provide quality patient care, collaborate on research and/or creative works and perform university and public service. Demonstrated evidence of capabilities for excellent teaching and creative works suitable for the series is expected for appointment to this series.

REQUIRED
Candidates must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree; board certification/eligibility in emergency medicine; has or is eligible for a California Medical License; ability to obtain UCIMC Staff credentials.

DESIRED:
Those with post-doctoral trainings, fellowships, sub-specializations and/or advanced degrees/certifications strongly desired.

Positions are dependent upon funding. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on availability of support.
