Job Summary

Provide highly skilled work involved in the design, fabrication, installation, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting and repair of a wide variety of electronic and electromechanical instruments, equipment and systems. Interact with faculty, staff, student, vendors, contractors, student organizations, IT professionals, BuzzCard Center departments.


Job Duty 1 -

Design construct, fabricate custom prototype electronics for faculty research labs. May provide logistical support to faculty when electronic courses are being conducted.

Job Duty 2 -
Maintain and manage inventory of parts and supplies, data, records and reports.

Job Duty 3 -
May perform quality assurance, evaluation functions, troubleshooting, reparing and calibration of electronic equipment.

Job Duty 4 -
May configure, install, maintain and troubleshoot card reader devices and associated peripherals, network electronics.

Job Duty 5 -
May provide technical advice and assistance to end-users; prepare reports and technical drawings, document technical procedures.

Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Overnight travel requpecialisted for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours (due to client shift schedules, project requpecialistements).

Required Experience
Six to eight years of job related experience

Bachelor's Degree

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

this job requires strong interdisciplinary knowledge in electronics and network infrastructure; excellent customer service skills, ability to operate and maintain specialized technical equipment, electrical/electronic instrumentation, machine tools and hand power tools; may require ability to design printed circuit board using CAD software
