Executive Assistant to the Director of Alianza UCMX Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 22286596 Full Time 8AM - 5PM $50,000 - $98,600 Position Information The Executive Assistant (EA) provides executive-level coordination, programmatic, and operational support to the Director of the systemwide Alianza UCMX and other leadership members. Alianza UCMX was formed in September 2019 through the integration of three systemwide University of California programs focused on Mexico. The EA serves as the focal point for visitors, students, scholars, and incoming communications to Alianza UCMX. The EA regularly communicates - in person, via phone, and in writing - in English and Spanish with high-level dignitaries, international, state, and local government officials and partners across the UC campuses, including UCOP, administrators, faculty, students, and staff. The EA must intercept and independently resolve and handle routine issues, change priorities, manage urgent demands, and multiple tasks. Please note: Budgeted Amount for this position is up to $75,000 annually. Applicants may be asked to complete a skills assessment and/or submit a work sample as part of the selection process. Experience Experience Requirement Experience supporting a high-level executive in higher education or public sector environment. Preferred 4 - 7 years of related experience. Special Conditions Special Condition Requirement Bilingual at a professional level in both English and Spanish. Must speak, read, and write in Spanish. Interprets correspondence in both Spanish and English. Required Must be able to travel, including Mexico, and work evenings and weekends as required by the events schedule. Required

Preferred Qualifications Political acumen and sensitivities to the differing perspectives and political circumstances within all levels of the organization as well as the Office of the President and external constituencies.

Familiarity with the organization's processes, protocols and procedures.

Knowledge of federal regulations such as FERPA.

Thorough knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.

Knowledge of UC policies and procedures.
