Position Description:
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Facilities Manager, the Shipping and Receiving Assistant provides exceptional customer service and support to the staff and faculty occupying Knudsen and the Physics & Astronomy Buildings, Planetarium (Math Sciences) and a portion of Kaplan Hall (Division Mechanical Shop). S/he will support and manage supply storeroom for Department of Physics & Astronomy, including: ordering supplies for stock and distribution, and maintaining physical inventory using an online database . S/he will be responsible for distribution of supplies and incoming shipments, via window/counter and via delivery within department space. Act as shipping and receiving coordinator by maintaining detailed shipping and receiving records, both manually and online. Maintain department key database, reflecting distribution and return of departmental keys.
