Position Summary:

The academic programs that the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing offers include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science, a Master of Science in Nursing Science, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nursing Science.

Reporting to the Assistant Dean and under general direction, the Accreditation and Data Officer performs the highest level of administrative and statistical analysis. Responsible for providing information and analysis on institutional effectiveness, strategic planning, benchmarking, budgeting, program evaluation, student recruitment/retention, enrollment data, etc. Incumbent performs cross-sectional and longitudinal analyses: decides what data should be collected for each assignment and how the collection should be done; gathers the data; analyzes the data and interprets the results to find patterns and to come to conclusions. Incumbent organizes accreditation and reporting surveys for compliance

Compensation Range:

$62,400.00 - $95,000.00

5-10 years of relevant experience

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

Requires general knowledge in data collection and analysis techniques; statistics or social science research techniques; knowledge of common organization-specific computer application programs; knowledge of organizational principles and procedures involved in handling sensitive data (for example, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, or FERPA). Thorough active listening, critical thinking, good interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task. Understanding of organizational rules and regulations. Able to provide good judgment, decision-making, and problem solving.


Knowledge of California Board of Registered Nursing regulations. Knowledge of Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education regulations. Knowledge of UC policies and procedures.
