Job Description

Under the direction of the Office of the Registrar, the Analyst will test PeopleSoft bundles; assist in year roll overs; design, modify and update PeopleSoft queries and processes; utilize Microsoft Excel, and Access to collect, analyze and provide report data for institutional, state and federal reporting; utilize a query based update system to add, delete and update various items in PeopleSoft to facilitate office priorities; provide data for ad-hoc staff request; provide recommendations for process and system improvements; attend meetings with internal and/or external entities to provide feedback of CSN requirements and processes in order to deliver resolutions and recommendations.

The analyst must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with internal and external constituents; serve as an informational and technical resource to internal and external constituents; provide technical and practical assistance with student data and related systems; develop PeopleSoft related training materials for faculty, staff and students; plan and prioritize various projects; support query, process and communication projects across all PeopleSoft modules at the college.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science and 2-3 years with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions OR Associates Degree plus 6-7 years of related experience OR 10 - 11 years of related professional experience.

Preferred qualifications
  • Experience in higher education with substantial emphasis on the technical aspects of admissions and records management
  • Basic knowledge of relational database and SQL in an Oracle or Windows environment.
  • Experience with web design and advanced level skills in MS Excel
  • Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose/resolve technical problems independently.
  • Ability to multi task and work in a collaborative team environment and to work cooperatively with others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical staff as well as non-technical users.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service attitude as well as a positive, proactive approach to problem solving; and ability to work independently as well as in a multi-role team environment are needed.
  • Experience with project management duties in the analysis, design, development and implementation of technology solutions to meet enterprise-wide and departmental business function
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Starting Salary Range

Administrative Faculty Grade C

$48,298 - $55,512
