Job Description:

HR Management
Serves as a human resources consultant to clinical department administration, faculty and staff on interpretation of HR policy and procedures related to recruitment, employment positions, appointment changes and all job actions within their assigned departments. Will work with department administration, supervisors, and UF HR representatives on submission of paperwork related to these areas. Ensures that human resources activities and services are consistent with and supportive of established university-wide and college human resources vision, mission, and plans. Serves as a human resources expert providing guidance and assistance to faculty and staff regarding HR policies, procedures, training, and all HR related items.


Recruitment
Responsible for managing faculty and teams recruitment (advertisements, positions and database records) within the assigned departments. Ensures approved positions, posted requisitions and requests to fill positions are consistent with the department’s budgeted physician and teams FTEs. Understand and interprets government, state and university laws in relation to recruitment requirements and ensures compliance.


Employment & Job Actions
Responsible for coordinating the employment process by working with department administrators, faculty, staff and administration to ensure efficient and smooth process in accordance with all applicable university policies and procedures. This includes ensuring timely onboarding, processing epafs within the system accurately, entering payroll distributions, ensuring all off line documents are complete and verifying that HR visa components and all clinical requirements are met. Will process and manage all job actions such as terminations, title changes, salary changes in accordance with College and University policies and procedures.

Payroll/Compensation/Leave Administration
Responsible for oversight, training and assisting department payroll and leave processors and managers with resolving payroll and leave issues for clinical faculty and teams staff as needed.


Training
Provide training to increase assigned clinical department administrative staff workforce competence, employee engagement, and organizational capability in areas such as, but not limited to new faculty and staff hires, terminations, reclassifications, vacation/sick leave and/or issues related to the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) as well as overall process and procedures in conjunction with the Associate Director.


Record Management & OARs
Will manage all records within the department assignment. Ensure salaries, AAMC averages, titles, position numbers, education and all related employment data is complete and accurate. Will manage records consistently to ensure board certification, licensure, DEA and education are current and properly reflected for all specialties and sub specialties. Ensure compliance and completion within the department for licensure, DEA, board certification, MOC education. Will manage the outside activity email for OPS and staff and route OARS for final processing and filing.


Other related duties as assigned.

Expected Salary:

$50,000 - $53,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

1. An energetic and dynamic professional who is extremely organized and able to effectively prioritize, multi task and exude calm under pressure
2. An excellent communicator - both oral and written – who can effectively contribute to a team and works collaboratively towards solutions.
3. A self-starter who is able to exercise good judgment and solid decision making at all times, including the ability to competently recognize when issues require escalation or outside resources.

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), HRCI Professional of Human Resources (PHR), or HRCI Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) preferred.
