The Executive Director, Research Operations is a senior member of the cancer center’s executive leadership team. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President/Associate Director for Research Administration and the Associate Vice President of Oncology Services, the Executive Director will oversee the management of Sylvester’s research planning and financial enterprise and the developing Oncology Service Line. The incumbent in this position will oversee capital purchases, facilities, construction, and space planning for over 98,000 SF of administrative and research space. The Executive Director will have direct responsibility for clinical trials financial management and reporting. This position will maintain a collaborative relationship with pre and post awards grants office and shared resources finances ensuring report integrity, budgeting, and accounting integration. The Executive Director will also play an integral role in the planning and construction of the future Sylvester research building.

  • Oversee the management of Sylvester’s research planning and financial enterprise and the developing Oncology Service Line

  • Contribute to the planning and construction of the future Sylvester research building

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required / Master’s Degree preferred

Certification and Licensing:

  • Process Improvement Certification preferred

  • Project Management Certification preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required
