The senior manager, programs oversees the day-to-day programmatic, operational, and administrative functions and facilitates the enrollment management of assigned MBA program(s) within the Miami Herbert Business School (MHBS) graduate business programs admissions department. Through MBA candidate and student engagement, this position plays a strategic role in improving the enrollment process while also delivering insight that will help shape future marketing and recruitment strategies. Furthermore, the senior manager, programs serves as the liaison to leadership, faculty, students, staff, graduate business programs team, and internal/external university community partners.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Serves as main contact for incoming MBA students and the liaison between the admissions and programs teams to ensure a seamless enrollment process and increased conversion. Maintains communication with key stakeholders to track the student experience and program updates. Provides training on programmatic changes to the recruitment team and delivers updates, success stories, and testimonials to the Director of Graduate Admissions to enhance the MBA marketing strategy. Leverages student relationships to develop an MBA ambassador program that can bridge the gap between the first and second year class, provide a stronger MBA student and alumni network, and build connections with prospective candidates for increased conversion. Maintains, updates, and deploys the MBA Welcome Packet and other onboarding communications to facilitate the enrollment process by program. Manages programmatic content and requests edits as needed for program webpages and communications. Works with various university systems and technology to optimize operations and reporting and ensure proper migration and integration. Measures and reports on program effectiveness. Coordinates and assists with event management initiatives and engagements. Works with corporate partners and industry/community leaders to increase program awareness. Partners with MHBS international relations manager, executive education, development and alumni relations, university graduate school, etc. to leverage program effectiveness. Stays abreast of market trends and competitor program offerings and requirements relevant to assigned program(s). Identifies new needs and emerging issues and prepares suggestions for program innovation and/or student experience enhancements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Higher Education, Management or relevant field required

Master’s Degree in relevant field preferred

Experience:

Minimum 7 years of relevant experience

A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

  • Impeccable customer service skills and event coordination support.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable entrepreneurial spirit, interpersonal skills and experience in relationship building.
  • Positive team-centered attitude with professional appearance and demeanor
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize work and meet competing deadlines
  • Excellent follow through and follow up skills
  • Strong computer database system experience and reporting preferred
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Prior Salesforce experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles.
  • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
  • Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
