Monitoring enrollment to Blackboard workshop for Thesis and Dissertation.
Using MS Office, provide initial checklist assessments of student projects in the workshop and reporting assessments to Director.
Communicating with students, faculty about projects as requested.
Assisting with minor editorial improvement to student projects
Collecting and filing forms and documentation related to thesis and dissertation production and completion in various websites, Cloud collections, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience in writing, editing, technical editing.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, History, Business or Technical Communication and enrolled in at least 6 credit hours in a Lamar University graduate program.
Preference: Enrollment in the English or Business graduate programs
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Must be a currently enrolled graduate student at Lamar University for the Spring 2021 semester
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrates self-starting initiative and professional ethics
• Ability to work in e-mail and shared documents with staff, faculty, and students from diverse backgrounds
Knowledge of keyboarding, writing, formatting, and editing skills in English; competent skills in technical editing, MS Office, Adobe Pro; capabilities in Blackboard.
Ability to work at a keyboard and monitor for multiple hoursWork Hours:
20 hours/week, times to be determined, preferably 4 -5 hours per day per week, excluding holidaysJob Conditions:
