Monday thru Friday day shift.Job Summary:
This position will be at the MCC (Markey Cancer Center) and LC (Lexington Clinic) (Lexington, KY and Richmond, KY) and will work closely with the LC Oncology Director and Providers to enhance a seamless collaboration with leadership @ UKHC MCC.
Will be responsible for serving as a liaison for patient care regarding tumor boards, research, etc. Will work with the nursing staff at LC to ensure compliance with UKHC and NCI standards of care.
This position requires working with medical professionals who are working under time and efficiency constraints in a busy ambulatory care setting with a patient centered care focus on quality, safety, and service.
A working knowledge of enterprise, nursing, departmental policies, protocols, and procedures is needed to be successful. A good understanding of chemotherapy and oncology infusion protocols as well as Commission on Cancer standards will be helpful.Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
Basic computer knowledge, MS Windows, Word, Outlook, attention to detail, high organizational skills, critical thinking skills.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
BSN or greater preferred.
Four or more years of related experience preferred.
