Typically Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; additional hours may be required based on departmental needs.Job Summary:
The Employment Consultant will proactively build strong relationships with hiring officials and departments throughout the University of Kentucky, including College of Medicine and Ambulatory clinics, Chandler and Good Samaritan Hospitals. Provide direction to hiring officials regarding job requirements, recruitment strategies, and hiring timelines to ensure desired applicant pools. Serve as a “high touch” coach through aggressive training and consultation for targeted hiring departments.
This position will research and recommend applicable selection instruments and tools to hiring officials. Guide hiring officials through the selection process, including providing Targeted Selection interview guides, promoting and conducting search committee orientation/effective hiring practices training, and aid in final hiring decision-making process. Monitor and report on individual unit hiring success rates as well as promote best practices within the University.Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
Successful applicants must have superior customer service focus, excellent communication skills, solid professional knowledge of hiring and selection techniques, as well as an ability to quickly gain an understanding of the business operations of distinct units of the University. The ability to successfully influence and manage relationships with hiring officials is required. Must enjoy & excel at collaboration and problem solving. Strong planning and organizational skills, the ability to effectively persuade others, and high emotional intelligence are all keys to success in this position.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
