Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; some nights, weekends, and/or holidays may be required in order to meet departmental needs.Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Compliance Coordinator/UKHC actively provides guidance to staff regarding compliance for research related Pharmacy Policies, Procedures and Regulations pertaining to study protocols, Good Clinical Practices (GCP), FDA, USP 795/797/800 and the The Joint Commission. Also completes distributive and inventory maintenance activities including study drug accountability, and management of investigational product (IP) delivery and satellite transfers; oversees controlled substance management requirements and best practices; compounds sterile and non-sterile drug preparations; trains personnel within all pharmacy areas participating in research, and monitors staff competency; identifies causes/potential prevention methods of medication errors to determine strategies for improvement and to promote medication safety; triages IDS correspondences to coordinate efficient operations with clinical research team members and associated healthcare personnel; assists with protocol billing and budget creation; submits accurate billing records to the appropriate finance group(s) and assists in preparing invoices for drugs used in clinical trials.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication skills and effective written and verbal communication abilities; planning and organization skills and a high regard for attention to detail; the ability to solve routine problems and manage resources; and a proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. The ability to provide excellent customer service is essential to the success of the individual in this position.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
Associate or bachelor’s degree and hospital and/or retail pharmacy technician experience preferred. Experience managing investigational drug study inventories highly preferred.Deadline to Apply:
