Job Summary:

The Program Coordinator I position provides critical services to patients and physicians of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program within the Markey Hematology Clinic.
Position duties include, but are not limited to, scheduling procedures for pre-transplant patients, retrieving analysis results for physicians and educating patients and families on the transplant process. The Coordinator will submit formal requests for transplants, verify patient insurance benefits, pre-certify treatments, schedule appointments and referrals for pre-transplant patients.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

MS Windows, Excel. Coordinate patient care; attention to detail; critical thinking skills.

Preferred Education/Experience:

Previous experience in clinical science (MT, RN) and previous experience in patient education/clinical procedures preferred.
