The Patient Relations Assistant is at the front-line of creating a positive patient experience, having responsibility for check-in and check-out of patients in a high volume clinic. Duties include but are not limited to: patient registration, insurance verification, pre-certifications, making return appointments & collecting co-payments. This position may also be required to assist with obtaining patient charts as needed and create any medical records per established guidelines. We are a fast-paced practice with multiple sub-specialty ophthalmologists that continues to grow and expand.Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
The ideal candidate will have extensive customer service experience and able to communicate in a calm and helpful manner during stressful and/or crisis situations. Should have the ability to pay high attention to detail; work with a teamwork mindset; have data entry skills and respect for confidentiality; be able to prioritize tasks efficiently; and work in multiple systems simultaneously. Computer literate, basic knowledge of medical field and insurance.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
