The essential function of this position include the ability to lift or carry up to 25-50 pounds as needed, as well as stand for long periods of time. The condition of work may include exposure to communicable disease and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.Shift:
Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, some holidays or weekends maybe required.Job Summary:
The Division of Pediatrics: Genetic and Metabolism Division seeks a Registered Dietitian to provide patient care specific to inborn errors of metabolic disease management.
Responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to clinical evaluation and interventions, assisting providers in developing nutrition management plans, assisting with research participants and follow-up, interpretation of PKU and other lab results and adjusting diet accordingly and patient education.
The person in this position will need to be adept in working with a multidisciplinary team, excellent organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines and strong interpersonal communication skills.Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
Superb direct patient care and critical thinking skills; basic computer navigation skills, and working knowledge of the internet; ability to communicate with patient families and provider/peer team. The ideal candidate will be able to integrate current practice guidelines,make clinical judgments and dietary recommendations,have excellent clinical and communication skills.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics plus four or more years related experience as a Registered Dietitian preferred.
Successful completion of Accredited Dietetic Internship preferred.
Strong ICU experience and working with patients with inborn errors of metabolism preferred.
