The Office of the Provost is committed to promoting academic excellence at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. The Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs is the Health Science Center’s Chief Academic Officer, reporting directly to the President.

Position Overview:

The Senior Project Manager is a highly visible member of the Office of the Provost team responsible for project evolution from concept to completion in an inter-professional, collaborative
venue, across the entire University. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for assuring project collaboration in a timely manner sufficient to produce intended outcomes. The role is
also responsible for regular reporting of ongoing projects within and impacting the Office of the Provost.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field with a minimum of five years prior experience managing institutional wide projects, working and communicating with different levels within the organization and working with project management related tools or any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • In-depth understanding of concepts and principals of project management.
  • Understanding of how project management integrates within day to day processes.
  • Ability to lead and direct teams on various projects at the same time and able to problem solve using judgment based on the analysis of information.
  • Developed interpersonal skills to exchange project information with multiple audiences.
  • Reliable team leader with the ability to consistently perform tasks independently and as a member of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree
Ten years prior experience managing institutional wide projects, working and communicating with different levels within the organization and working with project management related tools.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday 8am-5pm
