We are seeking a full time CRC B who will be providing support to the NCI-funded P50 Penn Implementation Science Center in Cancer Control (Penn ISC3). The goal of this center is to apply insights from behavioral economics to rapidly accelerate the pace at which evidence-based practices for cancer care are deployed, thereby increasing their reach and impact on the health of individuals with cancer.
This position would provide coordinating and research administrative support to the Research Program (overseen by Dr. Rinad Beidas) and the Administrative Core (overseen by Dr. Robbie Schnoll). The CRC B will also work closely with the Implementation Lab, overseen by Dr. Justin Bekelman. In partnership with other members of the Research Program, the CRC B will support two signature pilot projects (Project 1 will test behavioral-economics-informed implementation strategies to increase tobacco use treatment service referral and engagement; Project 2 will test similar strategies to increase serious illness conversation frequency and timeliness) as well as three methods projects applying rapid-cycling approaches, qualitative comparative analysis, and a health equity review across the two pilot projects. The CRC B will also coordinate the administrative core activities, including Steering Committees, Internal and External Advisory Boards, and annual retreats. They will also coordinate the development of a center website and partner-facing communication, as well as communication and collaboration with the NCI and the other ISC3 teams across the country.
The CRC B will be responsible for various day-to-day study operations including scheduling meetings with multiple research faculty, supervising any junior/part time staff, and assisting with the communication to all research partners and funders. As such, the clinical research coordinator must have impeccable organization, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. They must be able to work independently and exhibit good judgement. Experience working with research faculty from various disciplines is preferable. All applicants must be able to demonstrate familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and web-based applications.
