The Director of Recruitment Services is responsible for the overall operation and management of the District Recruitment Department. This includes: corporate engagement, adult-learner pre-college advisors, re-entry, international recruitment, and military/veteran recruitment. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustees.

  • Hires, supervises, and evaluates personnel
  • Develops and implements activities related to the recruitment of non-traditional students
  • Develops and implements strategies to attract students to the College and maximizes outreach efforts to prospective students
  • Manages the use of the customer relations management system to ensure high levels of service to prospective students
  • Utilizes data-informed decision making to develop and implement recruitment strategies
  • Develops and delivers training for recruitment personnel
  • Actively observes and coaches recruitment personnel for optimal performance
  • Integrates all aspects of the MDC community in the recruitment process
  • Ensures that objectives, plans, budgets and policies are consistent with MDC’s strategic plan
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and three (3) years of related experience; or Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and seven (7) years of related experience
  • All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability effectively leading and managing high performing teams
  • Documented success in increasing college admissions and enrollment metrics
  • Ability to utilize performance management principles to lead a team to successful outcomes
  • Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in order to interact with diverse constituents
  • Exceptional leadership and team building ability
  • Strategic and logical thinker; able to provide creative solutions to complex problems
  • Attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
  • Technically savvy with competent proficiency utilizing MS office suite and a CRM
  • Ability to communicate persuasively and professionally both in written and oral formats
  • Ability to travel locally within Miami Dade County
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staffAbility to work a flexible schedule which may include evening and weekend assignments
