PT Administrative Assistant- School of Science
The School of Science at Buena Vista University is seeking a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude. The position will primarily serve the Dean by tracking and reconciling expenditures and support the faculty through coordinating purchasing. Many other secondary duties including the handling of office tasks, providing polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, and e-mail, making reservations or travel arrangements, and being a helpful and positive presence as the contact for faculty and occasional students in the school.
To be successful, candidates should be professional, polite, and attentive while also being accurate. The ability to be flexible and the acumen to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously is a must. The successful candidate will be skilled with a variety computer software – particularly Microsoft Office suite and proprietary software, excel at both verbal and written communication, and general office tasks. A high school diploma and one year of experience is required.
